Four Canada soldiers killed in Afghanistan

(UPI Top Stories Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)Four Canadian soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb Saturday in southern Afghanistan.

It was the deadliest attack on Canadian forces in four years, CBC News reported.

CBC said the four soldiers were near Gumbad, about 43 miles north of Kandahar, when their armored vehicle was blown onto its side by an improvised explosive device.

It was the most serious incident involving Canadian soldiers in the Middle East since 2002, when a U.S. pilot accidentally killed four Canadian troops.
