Unlike many other pared-down social and essaging apps on the market, ringID built a robust and multi-featured social-messaging platform for the mobile world. The app combines a social newsfeed with a messaging and VoIP platform, giving users the perfect mix of communications options.

The app is fun and simple to use. Users can view their friend's status updates from their newsfeed and then comment, like, and share the posts. The app allows users to add friends through their phone book, or also via their unique ringID number, name, and email.

Users can quickly and easily stay in touch with friends and family by sending messages and even making calls through the app. When messaging a friend, users have the option to add free stickers that include characters, word art, and specific festive occasions. Additionally, ringID provides a "Secret Chat" feature that enables users to send messages and then have the message disappear from the recipient's phone within the pre-defined time.

"We wanted to create an app that integrates all the disparate features and functionality that users encounter on their mobile devices daily," said Ayrin Islam, Co-Founder and CEO of ringID.

About ringID:

The founders of ringID, Ayrin Islam and Sharif Islam, were using numerous apps to stay in touch with family and friends, since everyone had their own specific app preference. Rather than relying on dozens of different apps to communicate with their friends and loved ones, they wanted an app that was a bit more unified. They took the responsibility upon themselves of creating an all in one app called ringID. Using ringID gives users the opportunity to use an app that has all the features needed to keep in touch with people. Not to mention, its data transfer rate is extremely low at around 10kbps, whereas in general, most of the similar apps require around 64Kbps data transfer rate.
