"There is now unprecedented tension between national, state and local legislatures and regulators worldwide," said Tim Hwang, FiscalNote CEO. "Mastering these unprecedented tensions requires deep, real-time data mining and expert analysis that has not previously been possible. So we'll continue to lead the industry in creating both the proprietary analytics technology and expert advisory needed to give companies and organizations the knowledge and control they need to achieve their goals."

The company's services business - spanning Strategic Advisory, Professional Services and Client Success - has grown more than 800% in its first full year.

The additions also highlight the business-wide benefits of the FiscalNote GRM platform and have been shaped in conjunction with some of the company's largest customers. The expanded services extend FiscalNote's value beyond its traditional government-relations, legal and risk-management spheres into business development and other enterprise functions.

"It was a natural extension to start using FiscalNote's Strategic Advisory Services to help us turn the information from their platform into actionable items and ultimately grow our business," said Susan Young, Managing Director at TATE Global. "FiscalNote strategists have expanded our reach into new markets and opened doors that we weren't able to get to on our own. This wealth of experience, strategic vision and professionalism is the missing link we needed to propel our business to the next level."

TATE Global has been a FiscalNote customer since the company's earliest days.

The new and expanded services include:

  • The FiscalNote Advocacy MapTM. Mobilizing an entire corporation or organization staff is a powerful accelerant for change. The FiscalNote Advocacy Map automates the delivery of information, tools and analysis. It can be embedded in any Web page or portal and can be accessed without a special login. You specify which bills are visible via the FiscalNote GRM platform's Watchlist tool, for centralized management.
  • The FiscalNote Business Opportunity ServiceTM. Using the company's proprietary data mining and industry-leading analytics, FiscalNote analysts can identify upcoming legislation and regulatory activity that could result in market expansion opportunities before the rulemaking reaches the earmarking phase of procurement. Clients receive a weekly report detailing specific opportunities.
  • FiscalNote Local Government Action AnalysisTM. As municipal and county governments play an increasing role in regulating major and emerging businesses such as broadband service and self-driving cars, they are gaining influence over a growing number of business' bottom lines. Yet information and insights at this level of government are notoriously difficult and costly to obtain. The FiscalNote GRM platform's comprehensive data-mining and analytics technology feeds the company's analysts who report weekly on actions taken by key local governments. Clients can specific both issues and municipalities tracked.
