FastSoft Reduces LA-London DVD File Transfer from 2 Hours to 9 MinutesPASADENA, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- FastSoft Inc. Based on world record-setting FastTCP(TM) technology, the FastSoft E Series of Internet acceleration appliances reside only in the data center and does not require any hardware or software on the receiving end. The FastSoft E Series achieves breakthrough performance improvements by bypassing the limitations of the TCP protocol. Among the findings of the testing: -- Sending a 4.7GB DVD file from Los Angeles to London through a 100Mbps line took nine minutes, compared to 128 minutes without a FastSoft appliance. This represents a speed increase of 14.2x. -- Sending a DVD file from Los Angeles to New York took three minutes, compared to 77 minutes without a FastSoft appliance. This represents a speed increase of 25.7x. -- Sending a 500MB design file from New York to London through a 45Mbps line took four minutes, compared to 46 minutes without a FastSoft appliance. This represents a speed increase of 10.6.
