[November 19, 2009] Etihad selects Kronos to optimize planning and management processes Tweet Nov 19, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Etihad Airways has signed an agreement with Kronos, a provider of workforce management software, to automate and optimize planning and management processes for its 3,900 cabin and flight crew members. The crew planning software system, developed by the Kronos's AD OPT division, includes Altitude Pairing, Altitude Rostering and Altitude Insight solutions, and will reportedly help the airline increase the quality of its crew planning and improve the stability of crew rosters. The AD OPT solutions are expected to enable Etihad Airways to better manage and deploy its crew resources and build cost effective crew schedules. Richard Hill, COO of Etihad Airways, said: "In the next 10 years, the number of Etihad Airways flights will triple and it is vital that we have modern crew planning systems in place to optimize crew utilization.
