Ericsson pushes the buttons down under

Dec 10, 2012 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Swedish telecommunications equipment maker Ericsson is competing for business in Australia. Local head of operations Hakan Eriksson said that the focus of the sector has moved away from products and prices to infrastructure. He said that the introduction of smartphones moved customer interest to the network with the most megabytes. Ericsson still holds many patents, but Eriksson said that it is difficult to protect intellectual property rights without stifling innovation.
