[May 28, 2012] Epicor Software to acquire assets of COGITA Tweet May 28, 2012 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- Epicor Software Corporation has entered into an agreement to acquire substantially all of the operating assets and intellectual property of COGITA Holdings Limited, a New Zealand-based distributor of manufacturing ERP system software. Epicor Software is a US-based provider of integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), supply chain management (SCM) and professional service automation (PSA) software solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, nearly all of COGITA's employees will be offered employment by Epicor. Epicor Software is also acquiring customer contracts, related intellectual property, and certain other assets of COGITA, including the strategic office locations in Auckland, New Zealand and Adelaide, Australia. The transaction is anticipated to close by May 31, 2012.
