eKarmon brings electronic commerce to UzbekistanTASHKENT, Nov 07, 2008 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) -- Today more than 20 online stores offer goods, from carpets to construction materials and household appliances, in Uzbekistan. The quality of the goods and their delivery is guaranteed. Payment for the purchased product does not require cash everything can be paid for from electronic accounts. This opportunity is provided by eKarmon Group, the operator of eKarmon system of online payments. In the first half of this year this system was approved by the Government of Uzbekistan as a pilot project for the development of electronic commerce in Uzbekistan. "Electronic commerce is developing fast and functioning adequately in Uzbekistan," Director General of eKarmon Group LLC Dilshod Abdukadirov told UzA. "Thanks to the close attention paid the leader of Uzbekistan to the development of information and communication technology, electronic commerce is becoming a common form of trade these days." The eKarmon system allows the users of electronic commerce make immediate purchases of goods and services online using unique electronic digital signatures (EDS) which guarantees the security of users' electronic accounts. The certificate for the keys is issued by the Centre for Registration of Keys to EDS of the MultiSoft Solutions Company. According to statistical data received as a result of the monitoring of the system's functioning, buyers prefer to make online purchases in the stores offering household and computer technology. Taking into account all the conveniences of the online trade, a stable growth trend is observed for the interest of the population and businesses, which is demonstrated by the constantly growing number of eKarmon system users. The services provided by the system save not only time but also material and human resources. In particular, the users may purchase goods in online stores and pay for various services, such as municipal services, mobile communication services, internet-provider services. In order to develop a reliable and legitimate electronic trade on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a special large-scale campaign was launched in July this year. In this campaign, local business entities were provided package solution to join the eKarmon system for free. The package included a ready software to support online store, a domain name, server space (hosting), electronic digital signature (EDS) provided by the Centre for the Registration of EDS of the MultiSoft Solutions LLC necessary to support the electronic contracts in online sale of goods or services through the eKarmon system. The signing of the contracts on provision of free online stores to entrepreneurs is continued. Moreover, MicrosDesign Company and Trinity Design Studio, partners of eKarmon Group, are providing the businesses of Uzbekistan online stores hooked up to the eKarmon system and allowing the automatic reflection of the online sales in the internal accounting reports of the entrepreneur through the integration with the 1C Accounting software. This software solution corresponds to all the necessary requirements of electronic commerce within the UzNET. For the convenience of the clients, the network of agent offices is being expanded. The eKarmon Group continues to sign agents agreements with commercial banks of the country, Uzbekiston Pochtasi divisions, and companies that have dealership networks.
