eircom has partnered with Dublin Airport Authority, or DAA, to roll-out eircom WiFiHub in Dublin Airport. The new service will enhance WiFi connectivity to travellers who pass through the airport.
The new WiFi service at Dublin Airport is part of eircom's plans to expand and upgrade its WiFi service throughout Ireland. The company has set itself a target to expand its footprint to more than 4,000 hotspots by 2013.
eircomWiFi Hub at Dublin Airport will allow eircom broadband, eMobile and Meteor customers to connect to the Internet for free throughout the airport. Users will be able to check their emails, access files, surf the web and chat online via social network. eircom landline and non-eircom customers can also access the eircom WiFiHub.
Stephen Beynon, group managing director consumer and small business, eircom said, "There has been an explosion in smartphone and tablet usage and with that comes an increased need from consumers to access content in a convenient and flexible way. Our WiFiHub service allows consumers to do just that. The benefit of WiFi is that it is a reliable service that can be accessed at any time from pretty much any location. Our partnership with DAA is very positive for the many thousands of travellers who pass through Dublin Airport on a daily basis".
