Edmentum™ and NWEA™ Expand Partnership to Provide Results-Driven, Adaptive Learning Paths for Individual Students

Edmentum, a leading provider of web-based learning solutions, and Northwest Evaluation Association™ (NWEA™), the global, not-for-profit educational services organization, are expanding their partnership to give schools and districts flexibility to leverage tools they are currently using to meet individual student needs. The enhanced partnership will link individual student results on NWEA's Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®) growth assessments with Edmentum's new K-6 Individualized Learning Solution.

"We know that every school is at a different place in their technology adoption, and we strive to provide our customers with more flexibility and choices for their unique implementations," said Edmentum CEO Rob Rueckl. "We are committed to saving teachers time by delivering quality solutions that help them positively impact student success. Because MAP growth assessments provide detailed and individualized data on what each student knows and is ready to learn, it is a natural and valuable fit with our solutions. Through this partnership we are excited to continue to find innovative ways to make learning more seamless and ultimately help educators personalize instruction for all of their students."

These two education technology leaders began their partnership in 2012, linking MAP growth assessment results to Edmentum's practice and classrom assessment solution, Study Island. This new expansion allows for NWEA's premium assessment data to be integrated with Edmentum's Individualized Learning Solution. Edmentum's new solution is designed to provide targeted reinforcement in math, reading, and language arts through high-quality content, ongoing progress monitoring, and actionable data.

"NWEA believes that assessment should inform instruction, so we've designed MAP to provide precise, reliable, and valid data on each student, and to integrate with exceptional learning solutions like Study Island and the new Individualized Learning Solution," said NWEA CEO Matt Chapman. "Our goal with these synergies is to help teachers maximize each and every student's academic potential."

This integration will be accessible to any school or district using both MAP growth assessments and Edmentum's Individualized Learning Solution starting in the 2017-18 school year.
