Edgewater Networks Signs Multiple International Distributors for Its EdgeProtect Series Enterprise Session Border Controllers

SAN JOSE, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Edgewater Networks (News - Alert) today announced the latest list of international distributors for its EdgeProtect Series line of Enterprise Session Border Controllers (ESBCs). The EdgeProtect Series is a scalable, single-box solution for small, medium, and large enterprises who need secure video conferencing that enhances their communication experience and thereby improves productivity for mobile employees, business partners and customers.

Edgewater's list of new distributors includes: Westcon (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), FVC (Middle East and Africa), Solutors (Denmark), Supra Net Projekt (Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania), Avikom (Scandinavia) and Videnda (Eire and Northern Ireland).

The EdgeProtect 7000 Series is a natural addition to the distributors' and integrators' portfolios of cloud and video managed services. The EdgeProtect 7000 Series resolves key challenges for video including firewall traversal, device interoperability, provisioning of mobile clients, quality of end user experience and security. They are easily deployed and support standards-based SIP and H.323 and SIP/H.460 NAT/firewall traversal with flexible security policy management. The EdgeProtect 7300 works with existing H.323 gatekeepers and also includes an embedded gatekeeper option for H.323 signaling and SIP server. Media features include shortest path media routing to minimize the negative effects of jitter, latency and packet loss on video communications as well as media relay when H.460 firewall traversal is required, resulting in smoother video transmission.

"The expansion of our partner network into multiple geographies positions the EdgeProtect for global expansion, allowing more customers to benefit from its video and conferencing capabilities," said Dave Norman, CEO of Edgewater Networks. "Using our solution, our partners will be in a better position to deliver superior seamless integration of video conferencing capabilities for multiple deployments, including mobile devices."
