EarthLink introduces High-Speed Cable modem Internet to Erie

(Tele.com Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) EarthLink High Speed Cable modem Internet service has been introduced to consumers within the Time Warner Cable Erie, Pennsylvania service area by EarthLink Inc (Nasdaq:ELNK), an Internet Service Provider (ISP) based in Atlanta, USA.



EarthLink said customers will benefit from features including web mail, which enables users to access EarthLink e-mail from any computer connected to the Internet. It also offers eight e-mail addresses, which include free web space, a customisable myEarthLink start page and a website publishing tool powered by Trellis web site builder.

EarthLink customers will also gain from its Total Access Software, featuring ScamBlocker, Virus Blocker, Easy Switch and Parental Controls, along with its Protection Control Center, which provides computer security. In addition, the company provides a MindSpring softphone which offers free PC-to-PC calls worldwide, a photo sharing ability and free voicemail, via e-mail.


EarthLink's High Speed Internet Service is priced at USD29.95 per month for the first six months, increasing to USD44.95 per month, for speeds up to 5Mb/s. Subscribers receive EarthLink Weblife, for online storage of data and photos and file access, plus 20 hours of free dial-up access per month, and 24/7 customer support.
