Carrie A. Picardi, Ph.D. is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist with over 17 years of experience in field settings in a variety of Human Resources positions and as an organizational research analyst and consultant. She is an Assistant Professor of Management and Chair of the HR-MBA program for the University of Bridgeport, with a curricular focus on Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Workforce Assessment, and Organizational Development. Her current research includes performance management, organizational culture, mindfulness, and ethical workplace behavior. Dr. Picardi is the author of the textbook Research Methods: Designing and Conducting Research with a Real-world Focus (Sage Publications, October 2013), and is currently writing two more textbooks for Sage on workforce assessment strategy and practice. In addition, Dr. Picardi collaborates with global organizations, most recently with UNICEF, MetLife, and Habitat for Humanity, on consulting projects in the areas of leadership development and coaching, assessment centers, competency model development, job analysis, performance management strategy, and building high performance teams.
