SURVEY: Dec Belly Stocks Seen Up From Nov, Historically
CHICAGO (Dow Jones)--The average of livestock market analysts' projections for pork belly stocks held in U.S. cold storage warehouses as of Dec. 31 is 50.4 million pounds, according to a Dow Jones survey. That amount would be up substantially from November and a moderate increase based on historical averages but less than a year ago.

MARKET TALK: Late Texas Cattle Trades $97-97.50, Few $98
1436 EST [Dow Jones] - The bulk of the later cash cattle trades in the Texas Panhandle are reported from $97 to $97.50 per hundredweight, with a few up to $98.00, according to private sources. Trading started at $96 but moved up to the higher prices, with approximately 25,000 of the 42,000 head estimated to have traded during the day at the $97 to $97.50 level, the sources said.

CME Cattle Outlook: Seem Dn 20-30 Pts Despite Strong Cash
CHICAGO (Dow Jones)--Most traders and analysts predicted opening Chicago Mercantile Exchange live and feeder cattle futures quotes would start 20-30 points lower despite very strong beef packer competition for limited slaughter-ready live cattle supplies last week.
