Digital Defense Earns Center for Internet Security Certification

SAN ANTONIO --(Business Wire)--

Digital Defense, Inc. today announced that its Frontline 6.0 platform has received security software certification from the Center for Internet Security. Certification from CIS verifies that Frontline 6.0's vulnerability management capabilities meet industry-accepted, internationally recognized secure configuration standards.

DDI's Frontline platform helps organizations and enterprises of all sizes to streamline their vulnerability management processes by enabling them to rapidly pinpoint and remediate vulnerabilities posing the highest risk.

"The current security landscape makes it absolutely necessary for organizations to accurately evaluate security protocols and procedures to protect their data and keep their reputations intact," said DDI president & CEO Larry Hurtado. "In earning the CIS benchmarking certification, it's evident that we are playing a significant role in helping our Frontline users do that."

The CIS benchmark certification places DDI in an elite category as one of few security providers that have also achieved status as an Approved Scanning Vendor from the Payment Card Industry Standards Council and as a pioneer in the delivery of managed vulnerability management solutions.

CIS, a global nonprofit organization, provides industry-accepted best practice standards, known as benchmarks, for secure configuration of the most commonly used IT systems and technologies, tools for measuring information security status, and resources for making informed security investment decisions. CIS Benchmarks members include organizations and users from virtually every industry sector an every size, ranging from independent consultants to Fortune 500 companies.

In order for a company's product to be awarded a CIS Certification, the company must be a CIS Security Software Vendor member, and its product(s) must meet rigorous assessment and reporting requirements that demonstrate the tool's capability to accurately measure and compare a target system(s)' configurations with the technical settings and actions defined in the applicable CIS Benchmark(s).

"We are pleased that Digital Defense has made the commitment to obtain CIS benchmark certification. This will provide Digital Defense customers the ability to assess their system configurations according to CIS' consensus-based recommendations to help further strengthen their overall cyber security posture," said William Pelgrin, CIS president and CEO.
