Derive Systems Appoints Two Tech Veterans To Its Executive Leadership Team


SANFORD, Fla., Aug. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Derive Systems, a leading automotive technology company, today announced two additions to the company's executive team. These executives bring strategy, marketing, and technology expertise to support Derive's vision of customizing and personalizing the driving experience.

Nathan Shriver joins the company as Chief Marketing Officer, bringing to Derive 16 years of experience executing highly successful marketing strategies for companies including Pebble Tech, the Kickstarter sensation in smartwatches, and Under Armour, Inc., an NYSE-traded performance and apparel and footwear brand. As CMO, Shriver applies his experience in wearable and consumer technology to the next progression of consumer tech: the automobile. He is responsible for all brand, channel, and direct marketing for the SCT, Bully Dog, and Derive Efficiency brands.

Marco Della Torre also joins Derive from the consumer tech world as Chief Technology Officer. He augments the team with world-class technology experience as technology entrepreneur, executive and inventor of formative technology at a series of successful consumer electronics start-ups. That experience includes serving as th engineering co-founder of Basis Science, a maker of comprehensive fitness and sleep tracking products later acquired by Intel, as well as manager of analysis Software at BAM Labs, creator of smart bed technology later acquired by Select Comfort Corporation.
