[May 16, 2008] Denmark's FLSmidth & Co A/S acquires automatic pressure filter business in the US Tweet (Nordic Business Report Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Danish cement and minerals technology supplier FLSmidth & Co A/S (OMX Copenhagen: FLS) said on Friday (16 May) that it has acquired the automatic pressure filter business of the US company Pneumapress Inc in a USD18m deal. Pneumapress, based in Richmond, California, designs, manufactures, markets and services a broad range of automatic pressure filters. The company has 25 employees in Richmond and Antioch in California, and is expected to achieve sales of over USD25m in 2008. "Combining Pneumapress with the recent acquisition of Dorr-Oliver Eimco and Krebs Engineers advances the position of FLSmidth Minerals as the global leader in liquid/solids solutions for the minerals industry," commented Jorgen Huno Rasmussen, CEO of FLSmidth & Co. FLSmidth & Co, headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, provides engineering services for the global cement and minerals industry.
