Delphix Seeks Applications for Technology Scholarship for Women [Health & Beauty Close - Up]

(Health & Beauty Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Delphix said that the company is again soliciting applications for the Delphix Technology Scholarship for Women.

Now in its second year, the annual scholarship supports women who are pursuing a technical degree such as computer science, mathematics, or information technology, the Company noted in its release. Submitted programs are reviewed by the Delphix engineering team, all of whom vote on the submission that best represents Delphix values of creativity and end-to-end ownership.

Delphix said that the ideal submission will solve a specific problem. It will include strong design and implementation, testing and proper documentation, as well as demonstrate collaboration with others. Winners of the scholarship earn $5,000 to be applied to the study of a technical field. Last year, the award went to Carnegie Mellon undergraduate student Mitra Raman, a rising senior majoring in Computer Science, whose Web program included user interactions, decision logic and backend work to databases.

"At Delphix, we know that diversity helps us build a stronger team," said Eric Schrock, VP of Engineering at Delphix. "This scholarship allows us to support women in technology, a demographic that is still underrepresented in engineering teams across the industry. Since founding this scholarship last year, we've been excited by the interest we've seen across different campuses, and are proud to have our first intern at Delphix as a direct result of this program."
