Delphi launches new VCI diagnostics tool with OBDII flight recorder

Apr 06, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Delphi Automotive has launched a new rugged vehicle communication interface, or VCI, diagnostics tool with on-board diagnostics generation two, or OBDII, flight recorder regardless of vehicle system.

VCI has a micro secure digital (SD) card and built in flight recorder activation switch to log and extract all data parameters when plugged into the vehicle during analysis, including intermittent fault detection.

According to the company, the Bluetooth automatic search and set up feature establishes an immediate connection of the VCI to the vehicle without the need for manual set up. The VIN recognition feature enables the correct vehicle to be automatically selected from the VIN/Chassis number input. This new functionality can be used in two modes automatically and manually.
