Mr. Berenbaum comes to HPF with more than 28 years of leadership and management experience in the non-profit sector. He is nationally recognized as a trusted voice for consumers and a champion for a vibrant mortgage marketplace that celebrates sustainable homeownership, responsible lending, affordable housing and financial education. Over the past twelve years, Mr. Berenbaum has served as Chief Program Officer and in other executive roles at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC), and he was responsible for the organization's housing counseling, public policy, fair housing, small business, research, training, compliance and external affairs initiatives. Mr. Berenbaum has also held executive leadership positions with the Equal Rights Center, the Fair Housing Council of Greater Washington, and Long Island Housing Services.
