[June 26, 2009] 'C&W begins IP-based network roll-out across Europe' Tweet (DMeurope Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Cable&Wireless Worldwide is commencing the roll-out of its IP-based network, known as the Multi-Service Platform, across 21 locations in Ireland and Continental Europe. The network will enable businesses to provide access to managed IP services including IP VPN with built-in IP VPN QoS and carrier MPLS. The network will also enable access to advanced Ethernet services (including Ethernet VPN) as well as value-added communications applications such as high-definition video conferencing, IP telephony, application performance management services, IPCCTV and digital signage. The extension of the MSP to Ireland and Continental Europe will form part of the company's vast network across Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America, providing Cable&Wireless customers with an increased global reach. The deployment is scheduled to be completed by the end of September. European customers will be able to use the Cable&Wireless IPVPN QoS product over MSP by 1 November.
