Creature comforts

Nov 22, 2009 (The Augusta Chronicle - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Most American households have one.

They sleep in our beds and curl up at our feet. They are often the furriest members of the family, and they come in all shapes and sizes.

Whatever the variety, one thing is clear: We love our pets. There are dog people, cat people and still others who bypass fur entirely for a fish or a reptile.

Maybe that's not such a good thing. It's often said that pets look like their owners. Or, is it owners who start to look like their pets? Either way, we put the theory to the test in a game that challenges you to match some of Augusta's famous human companions with their animal housemates.

Hint: Two people have two pets.

PLAY THE GAME Match the people with the right pets, and you could win a DVD prize package that features a selection of animal-theme TV shows and movies.

The correct matches will be announced Dec. 13. Questions? Call (706) 823-3552.
