Cortado completes its Cloud Desktop offering with an HTML5 client,enabling secure and scalable access to corporate resources with any device from iPads to PCs

Cortado, the leading innovator of the business class of cloud desktop services, today releases the HTML5 client of its cloud desktop solution Cortado Corporate Server for browser-enabled devices. In addition to iPads, iPhones, Android and BlackBerry devices, now notebooks, PCs, Macs, and other web-enabled devices can be quickly and securely integrated into the corporate IT environment. Regardless of the device, users receive the same form of remote access to corporate resources and can securely access central data, manage documents and edit files.
The number of employees who use their private smartphones, tablets, or Macs for business purposes continues to grow. This has IT managers facing the challenge of securely and easily integrating different devices, from different manufacturers, with completely different security and operating concepts into their IT environments. To allow this, Cortado has developed an HTML5 client for virtually any web-enabled device, complementing its existing cloud desktop series of native iOS, Android, and BlackBerry clients. Thanks to Cortado Corporate Server, all device and operating systems in question can be securely integrated into the IT environment.
Employees are therefore provided with the same convenient remote access to corporate resources from all their devices.
The HTML5 client leverages both the local resources and local licenses of each end-device. This approach allows Cortado Corporate Server to securely integrate even temporary, mobile or freelance employees into the corporate IT environment, without having to provide a full Windows desktop, including the associated, expensive licensing for each individual user.
In the backend, Cortado Corporate Server acts as a mobile device management system (MDM), delivering secure user profile and policy management.
