CMT deploys Symantec Data Loss Prevention solution

Computer Media Technologies or CMT, a provider of computing solutions for data management, virtualization and consolidation, has supplemented its value-added-reseller agreement with Symantec to consult, sell and deploy the Symantec Data Loss Prevention solution as part of its new Absolute Management practice, which helps organizations to protect their sensitive data.
According to CMT, by adopting Symantec Data Loss Prevention, the company strengthens its ability to help customers reduce their risk of data loss, demonstrate regulatory compliance, and safeguard their brand and reputation.
Symantec Data Loss Prevention delivers a unified solution to discover, monitor, and protect sensitive data across endpoint, network, and storage systems, whether users are on or off the corporate network. Data Loss Prevention helps organizations find confidential data wherever it is stored, understand how it is being used, and define security policies once and enforce them everywhere.
CMT said that its Absolute Management practice integrates Symantec Data Loss Prevention with other solutions from Symantec, including asset management, archiving, compliance and endpoint security.
CMT also said that Absolute Management enables CMT's customers to manage risk, protect their confidential data and meet regulatory compliance requirements such as Gramm-Leach Bliley Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Payment Card Industry, Sarbanes-Oxley and more than 44 state privacy laws. CMT also offers complimentary risk assessments powered by Symantec to gain visibility into an organization's data risk and compliance issues.
