Christians for Biblical Equality Welcomes Princeton Theological Seminary Intern

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) September 30, 2014 An internship site for Princeton Theological Seminary, Christians for Biblical Equality will host Masters of Divinity student Emily Zimbrick-Rogers as research intern for the 2014-2015 academic year.

"We are excited to have Emily pursue her internship with CBE," stated Dr. Mimi Haddad, CBE's president. "I am confident that her impressive writing ability and academic acumen will expand CBE's mission while also achieving her own academic goals." Zimbrick-Rogers' internship will include curriculum writing, grant writing, conference planning, publishing and research projects. In her work with CBE, Zimbrick-Rogers will help CBE better understand the experiences of women in academic cultures while gaining a better grasp of the challenges involved with promoting gender equality among youth throughout the world.

In addition to her other projects, Zimbrick-Rogers will conduct a qualitative case study of women at the Evangelical Theological Society. This project will serve as the centerpiece of her internship and help CBE support females associated with the Evangelical Theological Society in the future.

"The passion, vision, and intelligence Emily brings to her projects is inspiring," noted Dr. Haddad. "I look forward to working closely with her as she pursues her research." CBE has a longstanding internship program for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. CBE regularly hosts between six and ten interns each year. One key feature of CBE's internship program is a focus on more advanced projects rather than simple administrative tasks. CBE works to match interns with projects and departments that relate to the interests of each intern and encourages each intern to engage as a member of CBE's international community.

In its effort to advance a biblical foundation for gift-based rather than gender-based service, Christians for Biblical Equality sponsors annual conferences, facilitates local chapters, hosts an online book service, and publishes two award-winning journals.
