CEVA DSP's core technology licensed to power Icom's digital wireless communication products

Feb 13, 2012 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Licensor of silicon intellectual property (SIP) platform solutions and DSP cores CEVA Inc (NASDAQ: CEVA) (LSE: CVA) announced on Monday that that Icom Inc has licensed CEVA DSP core technology to power its digital wireless communication products.


CEVA said its DSP cores power several leading wireless semiconductors for companies such as Broadcom, Intel, Mindspeed, Nufront, Samsung, Spreadtrum, ST-Ericsson, VIA Telecom and Xincomm.

The company added that to date it has over 35 wireless design wins, which target a range of handset, mobile broadband and wireless infrastructure applications. CEVA has also shipped a total of over 2 billion CEVA-powered wireless handsets.
