CED Announces Globalization 2008
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. --(Business Wire)-- The Council for Entrepreneurial Development, in partnership with the North Carolina Chinese Business Association (NCCBA), the Research Triangle Regional Partnership (RTRP) and TiE-Carolinas, presents Globalization 2008, a one-day conference featuring international thought leaders and expert panels to validate the global model for businesses of all stages in high-growth industries. The conference is scheduled for Thursday, February 14, 2008, at the Embassy Suites RTP East in Cary, N.C.
Globalization 2008 will offer attendees the ability to explore the strategies and benefits, as well as foster connections to achieve success in a global marketplace. Entrepreneurs with an existing multinational presence will share best practices, while those seeking to build relationships will attain the network and know-how to compete globally.
Providing keynote remarks at Globalization 2008 will be Deepak M. Advani, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Global e-Commerce for Lenovo. In his role at Lenovo, Advani is responsible for building the company's corporate brand globally, generating demand for Lenovo's $14 billion global business, and activating global sponsorships for the corporation, including the Olympics, Formula One and the NBA. Prior to joining Lenovo, Advani spent 13 years at IBM, serving in a number of leadership position, including Vice President for Marketing and Strategy for IBM's Personal Computing Division. Advani has an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business, an M.S. in computer engineering from Wright State University, and a B.S. in computer science from Michigan State University.
