Carnegie Learning's Teaching Excellence Institute Provides a Best-in-Class Learning Experience

Carnegie Learning, Inc. announced today that its annual Teaching Excellence Institute (TEI) will be held June 28 to July 1, 2016 in Orlando, Fla. This is the seventh year that mathematics educators from across the United States will join the Carnegie Learning team for professional development designed to deepen their mathematical understanding and improve student outcomes.

TEI's rigorous four day professional learning experience is designed to provide K-12 mathematics educators and leaders with relevant math content knowledge, research-based best practice and a network of colleagues from across the country. During TEI, attendees have the opportunity to discuss and share experiences, strategies, and success stories with colleagues and Carnegie Learning team members, and learn from keynote speakers from the education field.

Carnegie Learning is a publisher of innovative, research-based mathematics software and textbooks for middle school and high school students aligned to the Common Core and other rigorous state standards. Its Professional Development Team is comprised of Managers of School Partnerships who are experts in mathematics curriculum, content and pedagogy, and who work directly with school districts to implement Carnegie Learning math curricula and provide various professional development opportunities throughout the year.

"I never tire of saying that our Professional Development Team is one of the best in the educationalfield for mathematics," says Kasey Bratcher, Director of Educational Services. "This team continues to provide best-in-class learning opportunities for mathematics educators and leaders across the country. Through webinars, workshops, conferences, TEI and more throughout the year, our team partners with schools and districts to shift the culture of mathematics and reach their student achievement goals."

The 2016 Teaching Excellence Institute keynote speakers who will share their expertise include: Sandy Bartle Finocchi, Senior Academic Officer, Carnegie Learning, Inc.; Dr. Irene Nord?, Deputy Executive Director, Office of Mathematics Education, Detroit Public Schools; and Dr. John Almarode, Assistant Professor, James Madison University.
