CareCloud appoints new chief technology officer


Dec 28, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- CareCloud, a provider of cloud-based practice management and medical billing software and services, has appointed John Walsh as its new chief technology officer.

Mr Walsh brings more than 20 years of management and product development experience, having built information technology and engineering teams that deliver enterprise software and cloud-based solutions. He will join CareCloud as a member of its executive leadership team, responsible for managing the company's overall information technology, network security, and engineering organization in Miami, while also expanding its Boston footprint. Mr Walsh will report to Albert Santalo, CareCloud's Chairman and CEO, and be based in Boston.



Prior to joining CareCloud, Mr Walsh served as senior vice president, Engineering and Operations for Constant Contact, Inc. Assuming his role in October 2008, Mr Walsh was a member of the company's executive team and oversaw all aspects of engineering and cloud-computing operations for Constant Contact, the company said.

"John brings to CareCloud an outstanding track record of leadership and results when it comes to building and scaling world-class engineering teams and IT infrastructure through all stages of software company growth," said Mr Santalo CareCloud's chairman and CEO.


Before Constant Contact, Mr Walsh was senior vice president of Engineering and Operations for Ecora Software, Inc. from October 2006 to September 2008. From January 2006 until August 2006, Mr Walsh served as vice president and general manager of Product Operations of Saba Software, Inc., following its acquisition of Centra Software Inc. in January 2006. At Centra Software, a distance learning software provider, Mr Walsh served as senior vice president, Products and Operations. Previously, Mr Walsh also held senior leadership positions, InformTV and Avid Technology, Inc.
