Cabling firm looks to grow with funding [Newcastle Journal (England)](Newcastle Journal (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) A COUNTY Durham cable manufacturer is looking to double its turnover and staff numbers throughout the next year after securing a six-figure investment. ATAG Cable Solutions designs, manufactures, tests and supplies a wide range of high performance cables for all types of industries, including electronics, oil and gas, marine and energy sectors. The firm currently turns over around Pounds 600,000 per year and has a staff of seven. After securing investment from the Finance For Business North East Growth Fund through NEL Fund Managers, however, it is now looking to double both over the coming 12 months. David Thomas, investment executive at NEL, added: "ATAG's commitment to quality and ambition to expand has earned it a well- deserved position in our investee portfolio."
