C Spire Chooses OnApp as its Customer Portal for Cloud Services Based on VMware vCloud Director

C Spire, whose wireless unit is the sixth largest in the U.S., has selected software provider OnApp as the customer portal for its enterprise cloud services based on VMware vCloud Director. After an extensive proof of concept phase with several vendors, C Spire selected OnApp as its customer portal to provide the best possible customer experience and continue delivering the latest VMware features to its enterprise customers.

C Spire has provided VMware-based cloud services since November 2014, and worked closely with VMware's professional services team to implement OnApp as its preferred customer portal solution. The company offers a range of cloud hosting servicesfor enterprise applications at its new $23 million Tier III+ commercial data center in Starkville, Mississippi.  The 23,800 square foot facility is the only Uptime Institute certified Tier III data center available within 250 miles of that location, and one of only 17 such commercially available facilities in the U.S.
