BUYINS.NET: Market Maker Surveillance Report. SIRI, GPS, F, AMD, EDU, QQQ, Bearishly Biased Price Friction For Tuesday, December 4th 2012

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 4162 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2503 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2920 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI), Gap Inc (NYSE:GPS), Ford Motor Co (NYSE:F), Advanced Micro Devices Inc (NYSE:AMD), New Oriental Education & Technology Group Inc (NYSE:EDU), Powershares Qqq Trust Series 1 (NASDAQ:QQQ). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below: Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction SIRI $-0.040 -1.43% 51,164,303 51.38% 48,346,887 48.55% 2,817,416 Abnormal GPS $-3.570 -10.34% 11,725,143 31.22% 9,913,349 26.39% 1,811,794 Abnormal F $-0.130 -1.14% 15,126,832 40.92% 11,060,509 29.92% 4,066,323 Abnormal AMD $-0.100 -4.24% 19,429,189 37.38% 16,961,441 32.63% 2,467,748 Abnormal EDU $-2.150 -10.62% 4,578,931 41.90% 3,157,260 28.89% 1,421,671 Abnormal QQQ $-0.070 -0.11% 21,946,995 47.75% 19,766,239 43.00% 2,180,756 Abnormal Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Tuesday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SIRI with 2,817,416 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.04000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
