BRS Media's dotFM Announces .FM Upgraded to the Espresso CC (CoCCA) Registry Platform

San Francisco, CA., Sep 02, 2009 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- BRS Media's dotFM(R), the exclusive worldwide registry for Web addresses ending in .FM, announced today that the .FM Top Level Domain has been successfully deployed on the Espresso CC (CoCCA) EPP Registry Platform.

The Espresso CC is a full-featured world-class registry platform for ccTLDs, based on CoCCA, the most widely deployed registry software in the world. The registry software adheres to the engineering specifications (RFCs) for registration, resolution, and WhoIs information. Espresso CC also has advanced features for use with Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs), ENUM.It and supports IPv6, as well as, DNSSEC. More than 14 top-level domains and over 200 registrars, including most major ICANN registrars, have fully integrated with the platform.

"We're pleased and thrilled to announce that the .FM TLD is now live on the Espresso CC Registry Platform" remarked George T. Bundy, Chairman & CEO of BRS Media Inc. "This world-class registry platform is the benchmark to an exciting future for dotFM. We look forward to taking full advantage of the many standards-based advanced features of Espresso CC, like Internationalized Domain Names, IPv6 and DNSSEC. The .FM top level domain has already been on the forefront in the constantly changing domain space. With this top-notch registry platform and first-class root zone managed by UltraDNS, the .FM TLD remains among the most reliable, stable and dependable top level domain in the market today." BRS Media has pioneered the 'multimedia' domain space since launching the .FM & .AM Top Level Domains in 1998. BRS Media currently offers .FM & .AM domain names to anyone interested in obtaining their own "Great Sounding Web Address!" at dotFM or through any of our affiliates, .FM/.AM Registrars, and marketing partners worldwide.

In April 2009, BRS Media announced plans to secure, operate and market the .Radio TLD. dotRadio will be positioned as the New Multimedia Domain for the On Air and Online Community. The plan to launch ".Radio" follows ICANN's (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) decision to expand the domain space beyond the standard .com, .net, and .org. Being called the "Biggest Domain Name Expansion" in the history of the Internet, the move is expected to open the top level domain space to an unlimited number of extensions.
