BRIEF: Workshop to give hiring tips(The Free Press (Kinston, NC)(KRT) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Aug. 30--The Lenoir Community College Small Business Center and the Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsoring a workshop on "Behavioral Interviewing and the Law" from 9 a.m.-noon Sept. 16 at the Kinston Enterprise Center. The presenter is Stuart Levine and registration will be held 30 minutes before the workshop. The cost is $10. The costs associated with hiring the wrong person for a job are staggering. This program explains interviewing practices that dramatically improve the likelihood of hiring the right person for the job. Topics covered will include five steps to a successful interview, determining critical job requirements, the behavioral interview process, obtaining information in a legal manner, and accurately analyzing responses to interview questions.
