BRIEF: Second visit doesn't pay off

Nov 22, 2008 (St. Joseph News-Press - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
An alleged robber was caught late Thursday when he reportedly returned to the crime scene.
Two men, identified as one white and one black male, allegedly robbed Wood's Mini Mart at 1334 Frederick Ave. at about 3:25 p.m. Thursday. The robbers made references to carrying a gun, said Quentin Abbott, a St. Joseph Police Department officer Thursday afternoon.

Victims didn't report seeing a weapon.
The two took an unspecified amount of money from the store and took off on foot, Mr. Abbott said.
Friday, the state charged Joshua J. Mollett, 18, with a felony of second-degree robbery.
Thursday evening, Mr. Mollett returned to Wood's Mini Mart and was recognized as one of the alleged robbers, said Jim Connors, patrol division commander.

The investigation is ongoing. Officers are seeking information on the other individual, who was described only as a black male, Mr. Connors said.

Buchanan County Associate Circuit Court Judge Ronald Taylor set Mr. Mollett's bond Friday at $50,000.

Mr. Mollett, who lives in Parnell, Mo., remains in the Buchanan County Jail and will be arraigned at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday before Mr. Taylor.
