Feb 14, 2012 (Sun Sentinel - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Family and friends have committed thousands of dollars to finding out who murdered Samuel Delbrocco of Pompano Beach.
The reward for information leading to an arrest in the September 2010 murder of Delbrocco is now up to $25,000, Broward Crime Stoppers said Tuesday.
An anonymous contribution of up to $24,000 from family and friends helped raised the reward from the $1,000 limit the crime-solving agency had offered.
Nearly two years ago on Sept. 11, Delbrocco, a part-time resident, was found murdered in his home at 1770 Bay Drive around 9 p.m., according to Crime Stoppers. He was last seen having dinner at Kelly's Landing in Fort Lauderdale.
Delbrocco, 60, also lived in Alexandria, Va., and was a top executive at PCI Communications Inc., a communications and business strategy company, according to police records.
The rewardwill expire Sept. 29.
