BRIEF: Parent company of First Tennessee bank adds Cecelia Stewart to board [The Knoxville News-Sentinel, Tenn.]


(Knoxville News-Sentinel (TN) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Oct. 22--First Horizon National Corp., the parent company of First Tennessee bank, said Tuesday that Cecelia "Cece" Stewart has been elected to the company's board of directors.



According to a news release, Stewart, 56, recently retired as the president of U.S. consumer and commercial banking of Citigroup, Inc. She previously served as president of the retail banking group and CEO of Morgan Stanley Private Bank, and her career began in 1978 at Wachovia Bank.

"Cece brings great insights and judgment gained over a distinguished career in banking," Bryan Jordan, First Horizon's chairman of the board, president and CEO, said in the release. "Her broad experience with all aspects of the financial services business will help us build for long-term success. She's a great addition to our team." According to a regulatory filing, Stewart will serve on First Horizon's audit committee.
