BRIEF: Man robbed at pay phoneMANATEE, Dec 31, 2008 (The Bradenton Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A man reported being robbed this morning while trying to use a pay phone on Cortez Road, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report. The 21-year-old victim told deputies that just after midnight, two men knocked him to the ground and punched him as he stood in the 7300 block of Cortez Road West. The men grabbed his wallet, saw no money in it and punched him in the face, the victim told deputies. No arrests were made. The victim said the men drove off in a white Honda.
