BRIEF: Man may be charged with intoxication manslaughter [Houston Chronicle](Houston Chronicle (TX) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) May 29--A 22-year-old man could be charged with intoxication manslaughter after running a red light and striking another vehicle early Saturday at Harwin and Beltway 8 in far west Houston, police said. The man, whose identity was not released, was southbound on Beltway 8 at 2:10 a.m. in a silver Volkswagen Golf when he went through a red light at Harwin. The Golf collided with an eastbound black Ford Mustang, whose driver died at the scene, HPD spokesman Victor Santies said. Officers arrested the 22-year-old man after he tried to run away on foot. Witnesses identified him as the Volkswagen driver, Santies said. No further information was immediately available.
