BRIEF: KPD seeks help finding Subway robbersKNOXVILLE, May 22, 2013 (The Knoxville News-Sentinel - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Knoxville police are asking for the public's help in finding two men who robbed a Subway sandwich shop Tuesday night on Sutherland Avenue. The holdup at 3317 Sutherland Ave. happened about 10:30 p.m. According to Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk, employees reported the two men, one armed with a small handgun, demanded money from the cash register. Employees complied, and the robbers fled with a small amount of cash. One suspect was described as 5 feet 7 inches and about 140 pounds. The person -- gender not certain -- was in their late teens or early 20s and carried a backpack. The second suspect was described as 6 feet 1 inch or 6 feet 3 inches, in his late teens or early 20s and wearing a long black T-shirt with a white design.
