BRIEF: FBI Safe Streets Task Force collars robbery suspect

The FBI and local authorities have arrested a 39-year-old Knoxville man and charged him in connection with robbing the Enrichment Federal Credit Union on Wednesday.
Daniel E. Lopez was arrested at 5 p.m. on Friday, according to a news release from the FBI.
The robbery occurred at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday at the credit union at 5201 Schubert Road, according to FBI special agent Kelly L. Kindness. The suspect brandished a large, silver handgun and demanded cash.
The Safe Streets Task Force, which is comprised of members from the Knoxville Division of the FBI, the Knoxville Police Department and the Knox County Sheriff's Office, investigated the robbery and the FBI and KPD Chief David Rausch announced the arrest.
According to the news release, Lopez was arrested without incident by members of the task force, as well as the KPD Organized Crime Unit. Lopez is facing a federal charge for bank robbery, officials said.
