BRIEF: Director leaving SACTO economic research unit [The Sacramento Bee :: ](Sacramento Bee (CA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Aug. 29--The director of the economic affiliate of SACTO is leaving for a post with a Sacramento consulting firm. Ryan Sharp has resigned as director of the Center for Strategic Economic Research. The organization conducts economic research for SACTO, the Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization. His departure, which takes effect Sept. 8, was announced in an email Friday from Barbara Hayes, SACTO's president and chief executive. The research center's deputy director, Helen Schaubmayer, will serve as interim director.
