BRIEF: Dayton YMCA names new president [Dayton Daily News, Ohio]

(Dayton Daily News (OH) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Sept. 30--The YMCA of Greater Dayton has announced a new president and chief executive, effective Oct. 1.

Dale Brunner has accepted the position, offered by the YMCA after a unanimous board of directors vote on Sept. 23, according to a media release.

He replaces Tim Helm, who has served in that position since 2002. Helm has accepted a new position as president and chief executive at the YMCA of Greater St. Louis.

Most recently, Brunner served as vice president of operations at the YMCA Association Services Office in Dayton.

Brunner started his career with the YMCA of Greater Dayton in 1992, working at both the Fairborn and Downtown Dayton locations. Officials said he took a lead role in fund-raising, planning and opening the Coffman YMCA in 2000 and worked as executive director there for six years.
