BRIEF: Cellphone records sought in man's beating death


Aug 17, 2012 (The Citizens' Voice - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Police obtained a search warrant for the cellphone records of a man who died after he was found beaten and lying in the middle of a Hazleton Street.



Aaron Reznick, 29, of Ebervale, was found unresponsive in the middle of Carson Street on Aug. 4. He later died at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.

Police determined Reznick's identity after executing a search warrant on his car.


Although the Lehigh County Coroner's Office conducted an autopsy Wednesday, the cause and manner of Reznick's death remain pending further testing and investigation.

Police sought subscription information for Reznick's cellphone number from Verizon Wireless on Aug. 6. The warrant requested inbound and outbound phone calls and text messages along with current billing and subscriber information.
