Feb 14, 2012 (The Salina Journal - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
A Salina man whose sport utility vehicle crashed into a fence Monday evening at the intersection of Hamilton and North Ninth streets died, and an autopsy has been ordered, a police department spokesman said.
The man is believed to have died of a medical condition that contributed to the crash, but the cause of death will not be known for certain until the autopsy has been completed, Lt. Scott Siemsen, criminal investigation commander with the Salina Police Department, said Monday.
Siemsen said he needed to confirm that family members had been notified before releasing the name of the 57-year-old man.
