Bouygues Telecom Selects NDS To Provide Software Components and Professional Services for New IPTV Platform
LONDON --(Business Wire)--
NDS (News - Alert) today announced that it has been selected by French Telecom
operator, Bouygues Telecom to support the deployment of its next
generation IPTV platform including their new set-top box (STB), the Bbox.
Through its professional services approach, NDS is providing STB
integration services for the launch of the new platform, together with
integration consultancy and a selection of critical software components
to enable an enhanced pay-TV experience.
The NDS set-top box software components to be deployed by Bouygues
Telecom include a graphical engine to power an enhanced user experience
with HD and 3D capability and an application manager engine to enable
the development and management of a whole host of innovative new apps
based on HTML5 and Flash.
