BitDefender Total Security 2009 available for beta testing

Total Security 2009 product from BitDefender, a global provider of
antivirus software and data security solutions, will be available for
beta testing in mid-May 2008.

BitDefender said users wishing to test the beta product can subscribe
on http://beta.bitdefender.com/, with those registering receiving
e-mail notification of the first beta kit availability.

The Total Security 2009 beta version includes features such as online
backup, enabling users to backup sensitive data online to ensure
security; increased privacy protection through instant messaging
encryption, supporting Yahoo! Messenger and MSN Messenger; and
increased storage protection with the File Vault secured storage space.

Other features include improved integrated online security, with users
being given a full range of proactive protection technologies for
secure online activities such as shopping, banking, browsing and
socialising, with web e-mail and instant messaging traffic scanned in
real-time for spyware, viruses, phishing and identity theft attempts.

In addition, the beta product offers increased control through Home
Network Management, allowing home users to manage home network security
from one location and configure other network computers remotely; along
with an improved Gamer mode, Laptop mode, improved usability, increased
performance and lower resources consumption and firewall support.
