Beacon Bank names president [Duluth News Tribune :: ]

(Duluth News-Tribune (MN) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) April 21--Beacon Bank on Friday announced it has named Deb Otto as its new president in the Duluth market. As president, she'll oversee the bank's operations serving customers in the Northland.

Otto has 31 years of experience banking in the Twin Ports, with a focus on business banking throughout, starting with account management roles. She joined Beacon Bank in downtown Duluth in 2011, serving as vice president for business banking.

"At Beacon, we know the key to our success is the success of our customers," Otto said in a statement. "We're here to help them achieve their goals, and we have a great team in place to do that." She replaces the retiring Tim Meininger, who has served as president since 2002 when he opened the bank's downtown Duluth office. He'll remain at the community bank through December to help with the transition.

"Under Tim's leadership, Beacon has grown by helping our clients achieve their goals," said Bob Weiss, CEO and president of Beacon Bank. "Under Deb's leadership, Beacon Bank is on firmly established ground and prepared for the future." The independent community bank also has locations in Shorewood, Excelsior and Eden Prairie in Minnesota. In Duluth, it has offices at 1405 Miller Trunk Highway in addition to its downtown location.
