BBTelsys Press Release

Business Community Effort Launches Revamped Company
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., December 1, 2008— BBTelsys LLC, a Grand Rapids-based
national VoIP (voice over internet protocol) telecommunications carrier which purchased
BBTS (BroadBand Telephony Systems, Inc.), has announced the re-launch of the
company with a new direction and focus.
Over 30 local Michigan investors have joined together to fund new operational
investments, management expansion and growth. “The organizational structure is rather
unique” says Dan Carter, the Managing Member of the LLC, “The company has an
advisory board of current and former executives to help guide corporate decisions from
their experience in technology, finance, human resources, and marketing,” These board
members are stakeholders in the company’s and community’s success.
The company has reoriented its focus to include businesses, non-profit organizations and
governmental contracts. In addition, BBTelsys continues to offer competitive feature
rich local and long distance telephone services to residential users throughout the U.S.
BBTelsys appeals to its new customer base by working with each organization to create a
tailored communication solution to fit their specific needs. Working through a growing
number of Value-added Resellers (VAR), BBTelsys helps companies learn how to
implement new technology and applications.
CEO Roland Scott, says, “There is a gap in the business market as it moves from a one
size fits all traditional telephone systems to an internet application-rich market where
each customer has unique implementation issues and productivity requirements.”
Value Added resellers, or VARs, are another tool BBTelsys is utilizing to add to the
company’s focus on customer service. Localized VARs make it possible for customers
around the country to receive help from BBTelsys on a local level.
With new suppliers, marketing partners and customers, BBTelsys has taken steps to
establish itself as a pioneer in voice services. BBTelsys will make its formal debut on
Tuesday December 16, 2008 with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Taking place in their
Grand Rapids office, the ceremony will welcome businesses and media to test out their
products and receive first-hand instruction on how this new technology works.

BBTelsys Cuts Ribbon and Makes Formal Debut
of BBTelsys 2.0
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., December 16, 2008— BBTelsys LLC, a Grand Rapids-based
international VoIP (voice over internet protocol) telecommunications carrier, held a
ribbon cutting event on Tuesday, Dec. 16 to introduce the company’s new direction and
focus, which will have a direct impact for Michigan.
“While Michigan’s and the nation’s economy continues to suffer, BBTelsys can offer
technology that immediately affects the bottom line,” said CEO Roland Scott. Some of
this technology includes what Scott calls “one number” This application integrally ties
office, mobile phones, fax, and home phone services together. “With one number, there’s
only one phone number to worry about, and, more importantly, lower overall expenses to
pay,” said Scott. “
BBTelsys puts West Michigan on the map in the world of technology, competing with
what Chief Technology Officer, Art Hale calls the “big dogs,” like AT&T (News - Alert), Vonage and
Quest. Although a niche player, BBTelsys has technology and capabilities which go
beyond the offerings of others, such as the first carrier to support TLS secure encryption
calling.

governmental contracts. “The business world is changing more than ever, and BBTelsys
is offering very timely mobility services,” said Keith Brophy General Manager of RCM
Technologies, and also a BBTelsys advisory board member. “In five years, the business
world will look and feel completely different, and BBTelsys is going in that direction
now.”
