Batelco and BISB in deal on state-of-art network(Gulf Weekly (Bahrain) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Batelco and Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) have announced a major deal that will see Batelco replace the bank's network with a state-of-the-art MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) network infrastructure. Batelco's 21st century solution will provide BisB with a managed high bandwidth Wide Area Network (WAN) that ensures complete resiliency of the network. Based on the bank's requirements, Batelco's solution will facilitate data communications between BisB's head office and its branches and offsite ATMs, on a single fully-meshed IP-VPN (Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network) over MPLS network.
